Five Goslings: Momma, what are you doing?

One two three four five goslings in a line behind momma while she searches under water for some yummy treats. Out of the frame to the left is daddy honking and neck-dipping as if he is a drill sergeant prodding them along. It’s a pretty neat sight to see nature just doing what nature does. The beginning of new life. Teaching the little ones how to behave and skills to survive. There are several new families around the pond and the parents are doing their best to keep them in order. I watched them slowly paddle across the pond for a few moments, and I can only imagine they’re wondering what momma is doing with her head in the water.
